About Us

Association for Poverty Eradication and Development

Association for Poverty Eradication and Development aims to eradicate poverty in Andhra Pradesh.

Association for Poverty Eradication and Development (APED) is a non-profit voluntary organization created in the 2015 aiming for poverty eradication and achieve the sustainable development of the poor communities who lack basic needs and rights and under exploitation, discrimination and violation of human rights. APED is working in Chittoor and border areas of Kadapa district of Andhra Pradesh, India. The working area is a drought prone area, drought is a common phenomena persists years to gather affecting the lives of the people resulting migration in search of livelihoods. APED is working with the marginalized and vulnerable communities for advancement in education, health, economic and social status.

Mission & Vision


We envision to achieve the sustainable development of the poor communities who lack basic needs and rights due to exploitation, discrimination and violation of human rights.


To adopt the down to top approach. We believe the people’s ideas and participation is a must for development.

Our Programs


The activities are undertaken to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals such as No hunger, end poverty, safe water and sanitation, safe environment, decent livelihoods/employment, justice and peace, partnership with Govt, CSR, Funding agencies


The awareness is build to understand the root cause of the poverty or backwardness and to make the manalyze the situation to seek solution by their own efforts by community approach. The consciousness is built on  the health, education, economic, legal rights and social issues that the communities confronting the chronic poverty.


The poverty eradication programs are undertaken by empowering the poor communities on development process through awareness building and required skills trainings, credit facility, creating tangible assists and conservation of their living environment.

75th National Independence Day Celebration

Association for Poverty Eradication and Development (APED) conducted a program for women empowerment and skills development on our 75th National Independence day.


Mask Distribution

APED and team distributed masks to the poor and needy in various villages across the State of Andhra Pradesh.

Tailoring training session

The young women were given tailoring training sessions for a course of 90 days to help in learning the technique in order to use it as an employment opportunity for themselves in the future.

Young woman's equal right and opportunities Development Programs

The youth of the country are the future. APED conducted an equal rights and opportunities Development Program for young women of the community.

Burial Ground Cleaning Program

The volunteers at APED cleaned the nearby community area burial grounds to promote cleanliness in the environment.

Tree Plantation Event

APED and some members of the BJP initiated a tree plantation event in the APSRTC Bus Stand in Koduru, Andhra Pradesh.

Distribution of Ration for Covid Relief

APED and team during the time of Covid-19 provided free ration to the poor and needy in the communities of Andhra Pradesh.

Agricultural Awareness Program


Seed Packet Distribution

APED and team distributed packets of seeds to the farmer's families in the village of Balreddipalli, Andhra Pradesh.

Yoga Classes

APED conducts Yoga classes for the youth, school children and adults for a healthy lifestyle and overall peace of mind.

APED conducted yoga classes for school children to make them aware of the benefits of Yoga and how it will help in the healthy development of their growing bodies.

Supporting the Pregnant Ladies of the community

APED also gives guidance and support to the mothers to be by celebrating their motherhood.

Farmers Awareness Program

The team of APED with the local famers of Andhra Pradesh giving them support by conducting an awareness program which will help the farmers understand how to make a good revenue in their line of work and expertise.

Tailoring Training in rural area

APED also conducts tailoring training sessions for the poor and needy women in the community to help them make a living by sitting at home.

Sanksrathi Sambaralu Festival

APED celebrated the festival of Sakskrathi Sambaralu for women in Kadapa District of Andhra Pradesh.
